Oil Mineral Deposits in Iran

Iran is ranked on fifth in the world based on its oil mineral deposits. According to an international report carried out in 2001 in terms of estimation of oil reservoirs in Iran, it has been reported that Iran has oil reserves of about 96.4 billion barrels. In terms of exploration, it was reported that nearly for 30 years, there has been no virtual discovering (Ule and Alexander, 2004). Currently, there has been discovery in terms of raw production and exploration of large-scale oil reservoirs and deposits. Oil Reserves were found in various locations during exploration. Oil reserves have been found in Azedegan fields and many other places. Azadegan fields contain nearly 24 billion barrels of oil and the manufacturing competence of these fields is nearly 0.3 million to 0.4 million barrels/day (Petrochemical Industry and Market of Iran, 2005).
