Introduction to this thesis

SAZ is ranked among the top-five privately owned independent engineering consultants companies of Iran. It came into existence in 1970. Information Technology has taken over our century with it becoming a necessity for every business. SAZ being one of the top rated companies of Iran relies heavily on IT. The company has a well-established IT system, which is responsible for performing majority of its tasks such as purchasing, exporting, provision of services and all other tasks. The company is dependent on its IT department for the management and performance of its working procedures. The department is given tremendous importance as it is responsible for the handling of all the tasks of the company. Due to IT Resource department of the company, all sites and all departments of the company are interlinked to each other. This thesis is a descriptive overview of the IT Resource department and its procedures concerning to finance and other aspects.

The thesis also elaborates about the resources found and produced in Iran, which are oil, gas and petrochemicals. The country is rich in natural resources and contains a rich treasure of oil, gas and petrochemicals due to which, it is able to generate a huge amount of revenue. The history of the country and the economical condition during the past decade suggests that it has not been able to benefit adequately from its natural resources due to lack of technology and expertise. With the passage of time, the Government of the country has started taking interest in taking advantage from its tremendous natural resources and they want to come up with new ways of gaining benefit from these resources. This consideration towards natural treasures opened ways of success for the country.
