A lot of slave resistance occurred way long ago at least twenty times before the abolition of slave trade in Europe .It normally happened that the people who were to be captured as slaves would fight back or the slaves them selves would refuse to work as they were directed to. The resistance rose in the Caribbean when the slaves learned of the law that had been passed in Europe banning the act of slavery, and some of the plantation owners were still forcing them to work for them. Though the slaves new of their rights, that is to be out of slavery. The leader in charge of humanitarian affairs was not able to implement the changes because the country’s parliament was in support of the slavery since they viewed slavery as a source of economic development in form of labors they provided in the sugar plantation.

A time once came when the slaves had to become united with a common goal getting out of slavery and they therefore agreed that they will put a side their differences and fight back the slave owners. I once came a time when the slave owners were altogether in the sugar plantations when the slaves began the fight there by injuring and killing some of the slave owners and their soldiers. This then sparked a long fight which lasted for fives years. Due to the prolonged fight, soon power shifted from the more famous slave owners to the common man of whom majority of them were descendants from the natives. From here onwards the slaves had to rejoice for their victorious fight which brought them freedom and hence live a comfortable life like any other person.
